Congregations with Priests and Brothers
Marianists
The society of Mary (Marianists) is a religious order of men present in over 38 countries around the globe. Our founder, Blessed William Joseph Chaminade (1761-1850) first formed groups of lay people in Bordeaux following the turmoil of the French Revolution; the religious orders coming later. We remain part of this now worldwide Marianist Family that also includes sisters, The Daughters of Mary Immaculate and lay people.
As brothers and priests we live as equals and while ministering model our lives on Mary, the Mother of Jesus. We are dedicated to forming people and communities of apostolic faith while advancing justice and reconciliation. We are particularly committed to education and in Ireland we minster closely with and to young people in solidarity with the poor.
Whether you are interested in education, technology, business or any of the many caring professions, as a Marianist your talents can be put to good use serving God. We invite you to contact us.
